Attorney & Law-Firm Support

Professional Paralegal Services for Attorneys and Law Firms

Attorney-directed paralegal support for firms carrying more document volume than their internal team can absorb. Defined scopes, secure intake, and deliverables returned to the retaining attorney for review — remote, nationwide, and project-based.

Who we support

This service track exists for one audience: attorneys and the organizations that employ them.

  • Solo attorneys without a full-time paralegal on staff
  • Small and mid-size firms absorbing a temporary caseload spike
  • Litigation teams facing a compressed discovery or trial deadline
  • In-house and corporate legal departments with project work
  • Firms inheriting large, disorganized files from prior counsel
  • Firms that need document-heavy support without adding payroll

Every assignment is accepted from, directed by, and delivered to the retaining attorney. We do not take instructions from that attorney's client, we do not communicate legal positions, and we do not make judgment calls that belong to counsel.

Attorney-directed paralegal support vs. consumer document preparation

These are two different services with different clients, and we deliberately keep them apart.

Attorney-directed paralegal support (this page)

Retained by an attorney or firm. Work is performed under the supervision of that attorney, who reviews, approves, signs, and files everything and retains professional responsibility for the matter. Priced as a project.

Non-attorney legal document preparation (separate track)

Retained by an individual or business, who selects the service, supplies the facts and instructions, then reviews, signs, files, and serves their own documents. No legal advice is given and no attorney is involved on our side.

If you are not an attorney and you are looking for help preparing your own paperwork, the consumer service track is the correct place to start — it has its own intake, its own pricing, and its own disclosures.

Common assignments

Most of our work falls into eight recurring categories.

Discovery organization

Intake, deduplication, and organization of productions; issue coding; privilege-log support; and production indexes prepared to the format your firm uses.

Record abstraction and chronologies

Date-ordered chronologies built from medical, employment, financial, or corporate records, with source citations back to the underlying page so the attorney can verify every entry.

Deposition and transcript summaries

Page-and-line summaries, topic indexes, and impeachment tables prepared from transcripts, with a summary format matched to how the attorney intends to use it at hearing.

Document review support

First-pass responsiveness and relevance review under attorney-defined criteria, with escalation of anything that requires a legal judgment back to the supervising attorney.

Drafting and formatting support

Attorney-directed drafting support and formatting of pleadings, motions, and memoranda to court and local-rule formatting requirements, including tables of contents and authorities.

Exhibits and trial binders

Exhibit sets, stamped and indexed exhibit lists, witness binders, and hearing binders assembled in the sequence the attorney will use them.

Appellate document formatting

Record references, appendices, and brief formatting support prepared to the formatting requirements the retaining attorney confirms for the reviewing court.

Case-file organization

Rebuilding inherited or disorganized files into a usable structure: pleading index, correspondence index, key-document set, and deadline list for attorney confirmation.

Matter types we regularly support

  • Probate and estate litigation support
  • Family-law litigation support
  • Business and commercial litigation support
  • Administrative hearing support
  • Personal-injury record review and summaries
  • Overflow and deadline-driven assignments

We support the document and organization workload inside these matters. The legal strategy, the advice to the client, and every filing decision remain with the retaining attorney.

How a project runs

Five steps, with a written scope before any work starts.

  1. Attorney intake. You describe the matter, the deliverable, the record volume, and the deadline. We confirm what is in scope and what is not.
  2. Written scope and fee. We return a project tier or quote, the deliverable format, the turnaround, and the number of revision rounds included.
  3. Secure document intake. You upload the file through secure transfer. Access is limited to personnel assigned to the matter.
  4. Production and check. Work is completed to your formatting requirements, then checked against the scope and the source records before delivery.
  5. Delivery and revisions. Deliverables go to you for attorney review. Revision rounds inside the agreed scope are returned within 24 to 72 hours.

Communication, turnaround, and deliverables

  • A single point of contact per matter, with responses on business days
  • Standard turnaround of 5–7 business days from a complete file and approved scope
  • Revision rounds inside scope returned within 24 to 72 hours
  • Deliverables in the format your firm uses — Word, PDF, indexed binder, or spreadsheet
  • Source citations on abstracted and summarized work so the attorney can verify entries
  • Secure upload and secure return; no privileged material exchanged over open email

Pricing — project tiers

Starting prices based on the scope drivers below. Not every assignment fits a listed tier.

$497

Focused Assignment

A single defined deliverable on a low-volume record set — one formatting pass, one short research memo outline, or one organized production.

$697

Standard Project

A defined scope with moderate record volume and a normal deadline — discovery organization, an indexed exhibit set, or a chronology from a contained file.

$897

Document-Heavy Project

Higher record volume, multiple deliverables, or a matter requiring abstraction plus formatting across several documents.

$1,297

Litigation Support Block

Multi-deliverable litigation support — deposition and transcript summaries, medical-record summaries, plus exhibit and binder preparation.

$2,497

Complex / Trial Preparation

Large record volumes, compressed deadlines, multiple parties, appellate formatting, or ongoing recurring support across a matter.

Availability

Attorney-directed support is delivered remotely and is available to firms nationwide. Our administrative offices are in Miami, Florida and Lawrenceville, Georgia, and those two states are where the largest share of our firm relationships sit — but because deliverables go to the retaining attorney rather than to a court, we accept assignments from firms in any state.

Frequently asked questions

Is PF Consulting Firm a law firm?

No. PF Consulting Firm is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice, legal opinions, legal strategy, or court representation. Attorney-directed paralegal support is performed under the direction and supervision of the retaining attorney, who keeps professional responsibility for the matter.

Who can retain PF for paralegal support?

Attorneys, law firms, in-house and corporate legal departments, and other approved professional clients. Assignments come to us from the retaining attorney, and deliverables go back to that attorney for review.

How is this different from your consumer document preparation service?

They are separate service tracks. Attorney-directed paralegal support is professional support work performed for a supervising attorney. Non-attorney legal document preparation is a separate consumer service where an individual selects a service, supplies their own facts and instructions, and reviews, signs, and files their own documents. The two tracks have separate pages, separate intake, and separate pricing.

How do project tiers work?

Tiers are starting points, not a fixed menu. Where a project lands depends on complexity, record volume, deadline, number of documents and deliverables, research requirements, exhibit volume, revision scope, urgency, and matter type. Not every assignment fits a listed tier — we confirm scope and price in writing before work begins.

What is the turnaround on a paralegal project?

Most defined projects are delivered within 5–7 business days of a complete file and an approved scope. Revision rounds are returned within 24 to 72 hours. Compressed deadlines are quoted separately based on record volume and the date you need the deliverable in hand.

How do you handle confidentiality and privileged material?

Assignments are accepted under a written engagement that covers confidentiality and work-product handling. Files are exchanged through secure upload rather than open email attachments, access is limited to personnel assigned to the matter, and material is returned or purged at the close of the assignment on the retaining attorney's instruction.

Do you work with firms outside Florida and Georgia?

Yes. Attorney-directed support is remote and nationwide, because the work product is delivered to the retaining attorney, who is responsible for filing and for compliance in their own jurisdiction.

Do you offer recurring or retainer-based support?

Yes. Firms with steady document volume commonly set a recurring monthly block of hours or a standing work-order arrangement so overflow assignments do not need a new scope conversation each time.
