What's the difference between in-person and Remote Online Notarization (RON)?

In-person notarization requires all signers to physically appear before the notary. RON is performed live over secure audio-video with identity verification through KBA (knowledge-based authentication) and credential analysis — accepted in most states and for most documents.

Should I sign the document before the appointment?

No. The notary must witness your signature. If you've already signed, we cannot notarize that signature — you'd need to re-execute the document.

Do you provide witnesses?

We do not serve as witnesses (the notary cannot also be a witness). If your document requires witnesses, please bring your own. For RON, witnesses can usually join the video session.
